You have been evaluated in the emergency department today for your nausea and vomiting. Your evaluation suggests that your symptoms are most likely due to a viral stomach infection which will improve on its own. Remember to drink plenty of clear fluids at home and eat a bland diet. Please follow up with your primary care physician within two days.If you do not have a primary doctor, you can call your insurance company to find one. If you do not have insurance, you can look for one on this of local clinics or go to the finance/registration department for more assistance. Return to the Emergency Department if you experience worsening or uncontrolled pain, inability to tolerate fluids by mouth, recurrent vomiting, blood in your vomit, difficulty breathing, fevers 100.4F or greater, or any other concerning symptoms.
