This patient presents with signs and symptoms consistent with anaphylaxis. The patient reports upper airway edema, shortness of breath, swelling or in her tightness of throat. *** No nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. ***Known allergic reaction. Currently hemodynamically stable, protecting airway. The patient was treated with epinephrine, Benadryl, famotidine, and steroids. Patient was noted to immediately improve clinically, with resolution of all symptoms. The patient was observed for *** hours. The patient remained stable, his symptoms did not return. Patient was counseled extensively regarding epinephrine use, and will be discharged with steroids, famotidine, Benadryl, and epinephrine pen prescriptions.
