Central Line Placement by Alexandra Dyer, MD: Patient consented, consent placed in chart XXX Consent not obtained due to emergent nature of intervention Patient sterilely draped, full prep, gown, glove, mask, time out performed. Anesthesia: 1% lidocaine locally Location: [XOXOXO] femoral vein Device: Triple Lumen 7 French catheter, Cordis [XXXX] Technique: Seldinger technique. Secured with suture. Results: Venous return from all ports with easy saline flush. No complications. Complications: No evidence of pneumothorax, air embolism, expanding hematoma Guide wire retrieved and disposed of.
