Discharge //

You have been evaluated in the emergency department today for a nosebleed. The bleeding was controlled in the Emergency Department and your examination reveals no active bleeding at this time. Your nose was packed with nasal packing. You were started on antibiotics. Please follow-up with ENT(ear nose and throat doctor) or your primary care doctor in 2 days to have the packing removed. Please follow up with your primary care physician in 2-3 days. If you do not have a primary doctor, you can call your insurance company to find one. If you do not have insurance, you can look for one on this of local clinics or go to the finance/registration department for more assistance. Return to the ER immediately if you experience worsening bleeding, lightheadedness, chest pain, worsening or uncontrolled pain, difficulty breathing, or for any other concerning symptoms.
