Examination most consistent with cellulitis. No crepitus, no pain out of proportion to exam, doubt necrotizing fasciitis. Doubt osteomyelitis given history, time course, and exam. No fluctuance, doubt abscess. Patient is well-appearing, afebrile, doubt sepsis/systemic illness. Will prescribe antibiotics, and encourage patient to follow-up with primary care doctor in 1-2 days for a wound re-check.
